YogaVeda is a specific combination of Yoga and Ayurveda. These two approximately 5000 year old Indian sciences are innately connected and benefit each other in a highly effective way. Based on a special ayurvedic constitution type determination, YogaVeda provides a custom-made, personal yoga practice in combination with an individual nutrition and lifestyle concept.

YogaVeda Personal Coaching aims to improve the individual’s quality of life, in particular through a yoga practice tailored to the respective ayurvedic constitution and to impart knowledge and understanding of the needs, that differ according to the constitution type.

At the start of the YogaVeda Personal Coaching, the ayurvedic constitution type is determined, as it forms the base. This is followed by the appropriate selection of yoga postures and their practice as well as breathing exercises and meditation techniques that cater for the individual needs and specifically help to reduce stresslevels. In addition, YogaVeda Personal Coaching provides nutrition and lifestyle tips, which underline the individual and holistic character.

The science of Ayurveda, like the science of Yoga, was inspired and developed by the great masters and seers of ancient India. Ayurveda, probably the oldest science of life, is a system of diet, healing and health maintenance.

Ayurveda sees life as a harmonic flow, a dynamic balance of the three fundamental forces Vata, Pitta, Kapha (Doshas). These forces act in everyone. When they are in balance they bring wellbeing and health, in imbalance they lead to feeling unwell and later disease. Everybody is unique and Ayurveda respects this uniqueness. Ayurveda aims for balancing the Doshas and manifesting the balanced interaction of the Doshas to optimise the quality of life.

Abhyanga – the ayurvedic oil massage is an integral part of this healing system for overall health and wellness. It nourishes the body tissue, pacifies the Doshas (Vata, Pitta, Kapha), relieves fatigue, provides stamina, relaxation and perfect sleep. It increases the blood circulation, tones the muscles, calms the nervous system, lubricates the joints, increases mental alertness and enhances the complexion and glow of the skin.

Hatha Vinyasa Yoga

Vinyasa describes a dynamic form of Hatha Yoga. Asanas (postures) will be practiced in a flow. The synchronising of asanas, pranayama (breath) and motion promotes strength, endurance, flexibility, balance, coordination and concentration. Each yoga posture has an impact on the body and therefore stabilises, harmonises and boosts the immune system when practiced properly. Hatha Yoga energises the nerve channels, strengthens and stretches all major muscle groups and the supportive muscle structure.

Participants are encouraged to practice within their individual limits and pace. Asanas are performed with optional variations and are therefore also manageable for beginners.

There is a period of deep relaxation (yoga nidra) at the end of each practice to promote ultimate stress alleviation.
